InvestJigawa in collaboration with Jigawa State Government’s Ease of Doing Business Steering Committee held a town hall meeting on Wednesday 27th April 2022 to sensitize MSMEs within the state on reforms embarked upon by the state government meant to provide a conducive environment for the MSMEs to thrive. The event was chaired by the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Mallam Umar Namadi and attended by two hundred MSMEs.

On the 4th of February Jigawa State Government signed an agreement with Kadume Green Consortium on a 1000ha rice production and outgrower scheme for farmers. The consortium comprises three companies; Silvex International, M & A’s Greenery and ADAB Agric-Resource Ltd. In June 2021 Jigawa State Government signed an agreement with Caraway Africa Nigeria Limited (an Olam Group Company) on tomato production and processing. A British High Commission and FCDO team visited InvestJigawa on the 28th of March 2022, led by Gail Warrander, the commission’s Economic Development Lead.
