SIGNING OF AGREEMENT ON 4TH APRIL 2022 BETWEEN JIGAWA STATE GOVERNMENT AND KADUME GREEN CONSORTIUM ON RICE PRODUCTION.
On the 4th of February Jigawa State Government signed an agreement with Kadume Green Consortium on a 1000ha rice production and outgrower scheme for farmers. The consortium comprises three companies; Silvex International, M & A’s Greenery and ADAB Agric-Resource Ltd. The team has a successful rice outgrower scheme for farmers in Jigawa State, where the consortium trains the farmers on rice production best practices, provide input loans (quality seeds, fertilizer and agrochemicals) and off take the rice at prevailing market prices. Farmers under the scheme have recorded over 100% increase in yield.
