JOURNEY TO ESTABLISHMENT OF GAGARAWA INDUSTRIAL PARK PART 3: PANEL REVIEW MEETING ON ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (ESIA) CONDUCTED
The Panel review meeting on Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for Gagarawa Industrial Park was convened on Wednesday 11th May 2022 in Dutse. The purpose was to engage with relevant stakeholders for feedback on the report of the ESIA. A public display of the report had already been held between 14th September and 14th October, 2021. Key stakeholders at the meeting included Federal and State Ministries of Environment, State Ministry of Commerce, Industries, Cooperatives and Tourism, Jigawa State Investment Promotion Agency, Gagarawa Local Government Council, members of the traditional institution such as Bulamas and District Heads, and members of the local communities affected by establishment of the park.
