On 31st March 2023, InvestJigawa organised a stakeholder meeting in respect of the investment project of the Kadume Green Consortium’s project in Jigawa State.   The meeting was to discuss the progress made by the company regarding the establishment of its 500ha climate-smart farm at Baranda Forest Reserve, Dutse LGA. The FCDO-LINKS visit on 30th March, 2023 was to have a close out session with InvestJigawa’s team, as the programme is coming to an end soon. FCDO-LINKS was led by Andrew Thorburn the Team Lead. The Deputy Team Lead, Umar Muhammed, as well as Jafar Umar, were in attendance. The InvestJigawa team included the Director General Furera Jumare, Nafiu Halilu Head Investment Facilitation, and Senior Technical Assistant Stakeholder Management Rabi’u Usman.

The National Economic Council project monitoring team embarked on a two-day working visit to Jigawa State on the 27th & 28th of March 2023. JIGAWA STATE RANKS 2ND IN 2023 SUBNATIONAL EASE OF DOING BUSINESS REPORT RELEASED BY PRESIDENTIAL ENABLING BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT COUNCIL

Jigawa State has ranked 2nd in the 2023 Subnational EoDB report. This is the second Ease of Doing Business survey conducted by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council. In the first report released in 2021, Jigawa State ranked 3rd. This means we have moved up one rank. This is to congratulate the people of Jigawa, the State Government and its Ease of Doing Business Steering Committee, and InvestJigawa - the EoDB secretariat.
