2ND INVESTJIGAWA GOVERNING COUNCIL HOLDS ON 6TH OCTOBER 2022

The second InvestJigawa Council meeting held on 6th October 2022. On the agenda were review of the InvestJigawa Law, the agency’s 5 – year strategic plan and the draft Jigawa State Public-Private Partnership (PPP) policy. The draft policy was developed both from the state’s existing PPP framework and the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC)’s guidelines. As a routine activity, the meeting also reviewed specific investments and made recommendations that would ensure our investors operate smoothly in Jigawa State.

INAUGURATION OF THE INVESTJIGAWA COUNCIL

His Excellency the Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar (MON) mni on Thursday 23rd June 2022 inaugurated the newly appointed InvestJigawa council. SMALL CLAIMS COURT INAUGURATED IN JIGAWA STATE

The Small Claims Court (SCC) in Jigawa State has taken off. The court was established in November 2021 to resolve commercial disputes involving small claims of N1million and below within a short period of time. The goal is to reduce cost and time wastage in litigation for MSMEs especially. Over the past few months since its establishment, the court was equipped and a magistrate appointed to preside over its proceedings.
