Ibrahim Mukhtar Baba has served in various capacities within Jigawa State Government, which include: Finance Clerk at Gwiwa Local Government Education Authority from 1992-1994, as an Executive Officer Accounts at the Health Service Management Board (Zone V Kazaure) from 1995-1998, and Higher Executive Officer Accounts at Health Service Management Board Headquarters Dutse from 1998-2001. Baba also served at various general hospitals as Accountant/Auditor from the period of 2002-2006. He was also a Chief Accountant with Gunduma Health System Councils (Kazaure and Ringim Gunduma) from 2007 to 2016. He has also worked with the Jigawa State Fire Service Directorate as an Accountant, Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, and is currently the Head of Accounts with Jigawa State Investment Promotion Agency.
Ibrahim Baba holds a certificate in Public Accounting & Auditing (CPAA) and a Professional Diploma in public Accounting and Auditing (DPAA). He has attended training on computer and Accounting Concepts, Trainers on Drug Revolving Funds/ Deferrals and Exemption Scheme organized by the Jigawa State Ministry of Health, and the Mandatory Professional Education Program (MPEP) organized by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria. Other training he has undergone include; Management Strategies for People and Resources, Strengthening Public Sector Service, and Fundamentals of Starting a Business from Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI).
