Jigawa State is blessed with abundant mineral resources ready for exploration and exploitation. It is endowed with a variety of solid mineral deposits capable of feeding medium to large scale industries for optimum industrial operations.
The Maigatari Export Processing Zone is a border free zone located at Maigatari town, along the Nigeria-Niger border, and is managed by the Jigawa State government.
Gagarawa Industrial Park is being developed for Micro, Small, Medium and Large industries. It is a multi-use industrial park owned and managed by the state government to serve as a regional manufacturing, trade and distribution hub.
